Updates on Friday March 3rd:THe perfect weather lasted all week but it looks windy for Saturday Race Day. The womens coaches have switched the order of races and we will decide at the Coaches Coxswains meeting about the times of the races and gaps.

Lets hope for no wind....

BUOY LINE - We are renting or purchasing a 2000m Buoy line from Bob Whitford and Tim Royalty. I am trying to get both of them here on Thursday or Friday to install it. Bob would then be the head official. We are still looking for one more official, so if you know anyone willing to come to Vegas please let me know.

DOCK - We currently own a 60' x 7.5' connect-a-dock. We are planning on purchasing more pieces to make it a 60' x 10' dock for better safety. Long term we will be purchasing a second 60' x 10' dock but it may not be here for this years regatta.

LAUNCHES - We have one Stillwater Duo Wide launch and I am asking Zenon if he would be willing to bring one of his Pocock Launches to help run the races. Please let me know. Thanks

HOTELS - The Westin Lake Las Vegas will be undergoing some renovations and cannot give us any discounts as they are almost full.

I am working with the Hilton Lake Las Vegas and Sunset Station and will have more information today.

There is a large Rugby event the same weekend. If you can stay at a casino, the closest one is Sunset Station or Fiesta Henderson. I am calling back their sales managers today.

Once you have plans firmed up please let me know the arrival times for athletes and trailers. I want to make sure we have people ready to help you set up.

Once I know arrival times I will set up a practice schedule for Friday.

From what I understand, UW and USC will race twice on Saturday and then leave on Saturday night. Oregon State and USCB will race or scrimmage twice on Saturday and then be joined by SDSU and Nevada State for racing on Sunday morning.

UCSB (and hopefully SDSU) will be bringing some extra crews on Sunday to race Nevada State Novice Men's and Women's 4+'s.

Lots happening fast now, so please let me know what I can do to help. Racing will be fair and fast on this beautiful lake.
