Thank you and congratulations to everyone who raced today!  The snow this morning was a bit of a cold start, but the umpires, volunteers, spectators and especially the athletes were AWESOME -- the event was competitive (judging by the results!) and fun, with a great community vibe.  What a great start to the season, and to the first year of the Trillium Chase.

Just a reminder that gold medals will be awarded in each category to the athlete(s) who wins the most points overall throughout the season.  As well, ROWONTARIO will co-award the inaugaral Trillium Cup trophy to the male and female sculler who wins the most points overall, regardless of category. 

The next Challenge in the ROWONTARIO Trillium Chase 1x Challenge Series is the Jack Nicholson Head of the Martindale Regatta in St. Catharines, ON.  Register now! Everyone who races will be included in the Trillium Chase points calculations, so it is definitely NOT too late Challenge the Chase!  

Preliminary Race Draw V.2 - Posted April 27th 4:14PM

As previously commnicated, entries submitted and paid for online before 4:59PM on Friday April 27th will be required to pay the standard entry fee.  Late entries will be accepted in person from 7:15AM-7:45AM on Sunday April 29th and late entry fees will apply.  We can accept payment for late entries by credit card or cash (exact change only please). 

Any late entries submitted, online or in-person, after this point will be included on the Final Draw and announced at the Coach and Athlete Meeting. 

Bulletin #3 - Posted April 27th 2:00PM

Please review the following maps carefully in preparation for Sunday's races!

Please also review the Dock Flow Pattern as well.  Crews will LAUNCH from the Mississauga Canoe Club docks (just next door to the DRC) and will RETURN to the Don Rowing Club docks.  Please note: Rowers will not be permitted to row back to the docks until the entire division has passed the finish line (to prevent the risk of head-on collision).  Similarly, rowers will not be permitted to launch until the entire previous division has passed the DRC docks.  

The Don Rowing Club has graciously offered their 24 ergs to use for warm-up. 

Please come prepared for the weather and water conditions!  Dress in appropriate layers and plan your warm-up/cool-down strategies in advance!

Important notes from Regatta Chair Lynda Dundas:

• Parking is available along Front St in front of the club, GreenP Parking just south and north of the club on Front St ( this is free), side street parking in the area, and in the school parking lot across from the club.
• Those with boats are requested to stop at the top of the hill down to the club (area will be marked), unload, then park nearby.
• Boats will be staged in the park to the south of the club. Please bring stretchers if you have them.
• Nutritious snacks will be available in the Pogue Room Lounge ( fruit, tea, coffee, bagels, muffins) . Proceeds of the sale of foods will be used to assist with our Jr. summer exchange of rowers with our sister club (Hansa Germany).
• Water and washrooms are available on the main floor of the clubhouse.
• Spectators will have a good view from our balcony facing the river or from the bank of the river alongside the club and to the south.

Preliminary Race Draw - Posted April 25th 11:25AM

• The Preliminary Race Draw includes all entries submitted by the original entry deadline (Tuesday April 24th at 4:59PM)
• As per Bulletin #1 (below), an updated Preliminary Draw will be posted by 6:00PM on Friday April 27th, and a final race draw will be available at the Coach and Athlete Meeting at 8:00AM on Sunday April 29th.

The entry deadline has been extended until Friday April 27th at 4:59PM.  All entries submitted and paid in full by that deadline will NOT be charged a late entry fee. 

**Late Entry Fees will still apply to late entries submitted in person from 7:15AM-7:45AM on Sunday April 29th, as per the Regatta Information Package.  

The Preliminary Race Draw will be posted by 12:30PM on Wednesday April 25th.  An updated Preliminary Draw will be posted by 6:00PM on Friday April 27th, and a final race draw will be available at the Coach and Athlete Meeting at 8:00AM on Sunday April 29th.
