Plant High Rowing Association, in cooperation with the Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation Department and the Tampa Bypass Canal Rowing Council, will host the 2008 Southeast Youth Championship Rowing Regatta at Tampa's Harney Park Bypass Canal Racecourse on Saturday May 10th and Sunday May 11th, 2008.
The Southeast Youth Championship Regatta is a USRowing registered championship and one of the premiere rowing events in the state of Florida and the Southeastern United States. Over 1200 athletes representing some 40 high schools from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee will competeagainst each otherin sprint races along the 1850 meter course during the 2-day event.
