I wanted to reach out to you all regarding the inclement weather that several clubs are expecting. We know that some college campuses and fitness facilities have already closed in response to predicted inclement weather and others may decide to close in the next 24hours. We are also aware that for many race participants, these facilities are the only locations that you have access to run the race software for tomorrow.
For participants registered to race in person or who will have access to the equipment needed for the race, Shocker Sprints is still planned to commence as planned tomorrow.
That being said, in an effort to give all race participants an opportunity to compete, the regatta is allowing participants who are unable to race Shocker Sprints due to inclement weather to e-mail [email protected] a picture of your erg screen with your 2K and/or 500m time and upload a video of your race(s) to https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/123fIICCzz92NS0i-dSjCYkZzhl__ILWk?usp=sharing by Sunday, February 21st. Official Results will be announced Monday, February 22nd.
We know that this is not what anyone wanted to happen. We were and still are very excited to host this event, but the safety of our participants and the ability to allow people a chance to race is an important component to Shocker Sprints.
