St. Louis Gateway Regatta

  • Hosted By: St. Louis Rowing Club
  • 2016 Registered Regatta

The lake itself has a rich history as it was the scene of the 1904 Summer Olympics. All the aquatic events were held at the lake including rowing.  As an ox-bow of the Missouri river, Creve Coeur Lake is located in the rich Missouri river valley just miles from the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers.

Recently  "Rails to Trails" of Missouri has completed an extension from the bike and walking path around the lake to the cross state "Katy Trail". This former railroad bed is paved and offers fun stops at small towns and big cities along the Missouri river from St. Louis clear across the state.
