PARKING

Harry Todd Park has insufficient parking for everyone, so please read these instructions carefully:

Boat trailers:  Allowed to park within the park limits. Our parking attendants will guide them to a suitable spot. MUST CALL PAUL WENSLEY AT 253-376-5239 IF DROPPING OFF THE TRAILER SATURDAY AFTERNOON (between 3 and 6 pm). All long boat trailers must approach the park from the north. 

Cars carrying small shells on the roof: Allowed to park within the park limits. Our parking attendants will guide you to a suitable spot.

Vehicles carrying and dropping off equipment and heavy supplies: Allowed to enter the park, but will have to leave it promptly after unloading. 

Referees:  Some parking inside the park for the US Rowing referees. 

Disabled parking: Some spots available inside the park. 

All other vehicles:  You must park outside the park in the Tillicum neigborhood. We suggest along Portland Avenue or Washington Avenue, and the side streets in between. Tillicum Elementary School on Grant Avenue has a few parking spots. Take care not to block any driveways, mailboxes, or entrances. Lock the car and take valuables with you. Watch for No Parking signs, especially at the south portion of Portland Avenue. 

You cannot drive to the park to "just drop off" athletes. If you or your child can row a hard 5K and more, you should be able to walk a couple of hundred yards from where you parked the car to the park. Take it as a warm-up!  

You can also see from the Google map below that there are several fast food places on Union Avenue, parallel to I-5.
