Parking and Drop Off:

Parking: for spectators is available at Westerville North High School (950 County Line Rd, Westerville, OH 43081) west of the regatta venue. There are also spots available curbside on the WEST SIDE of Sunbury Road (East side is for utility trailers and buses only!) There will be two shuttle vans to assist.

There is no overnight/RV parking permitted by spectators.

 

Handicap parking:  is available in the remote lot and also at the main regatta venue at Walnut/Sunbury Road. There is no parking at the Hoover Dam Parking Lots this year due to construction.

 

Spectator/Team tents: should be set up South of the Walnut Street shelter house only.  Team tent structures may not exceed 400 sq. ft. and there must be 10’ between tents per city regulations.

 

Boat trailer, Bus, Car top Boats, and Food Trailer parking:

 

Boat trailers: will park at the Boat Ramp lot 500 meters north of Walnut Street. The launch docks are adjacent to the Boat Ramp lot.  Only boat trailers are permitted in the Boat Ramp Lot. Boat trailers may arrive any time Friday afternoon.

 

Car top boats: Cars may park along Sunbury Road next to the staging field at the Boat Ramp lot 500 meters north of Walnut Street. Car top boats may be dropped off Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

 

Buses: Cones should be up along the northbound lane on Sunbury Rd on Friday after 2PM.  Busses will park and drop off at the curb lane NORTH of Walnut Street light. Buses, please DO NOT pull into ANY parking lots on Regatta Day!! Please let The Hoover Regatta staff know if you need assistance.

 

Food trailers:

After 2PM on Friday cones will be set up along Sunbury Road and food trailers will be able to park curbside south of the Walnut and Sunbury Rd light (near the tents).  Food Trailers may also park in the lot (Area A) across from GOLDSMITH STREET.

 

Security will be provided all night from 9:00pm on Friday evening.

 

Rower/Supply Drop Offs:

Vehicles dropping off rowers and supplies: must do so on Sunbury curbside (lane will be closed) just NORTH of the Walnut and Sunbury light. This area is marked as a drop off zone. NO VEHICLES MAY REMAIN UNATTENDED IN THIS AREA. Vehicles will not be permitted to pull into the lot to drop off rowers or to turn around!!

 

 

 

 

 

Directions:

 

From Toledo

1) Take Route 23 South from Toledo to I-270 East

2) Take I-270 East to Exit 30 (SR 161 East, “New Albany” Exit)

3) Take SR 161 East, New Albany to first exit (Sunbury Rd.)

4) Turn Right (north) onto Sunbury Rd.

5) Regatta site is on your right at Walnut Street (about 2 miles)

 

From Cincinnati

1) Take I-71 North through Columbus

2) Take 670E

3) Take I-270 North to Exit 30 (SR 161 East “New Albany” Exit)

4) Take SR 161 East to the first exit (Sunbury Rd.)

5) Turn Right (north) onto Sunbury Rd.

6) Regatta site will be on your right at Walnut St. (about 2 miles)

 

From Cleveland

1) Take I-71 South from Cleveland

2) Take I-270 East to Exit 30 (SR 161 East, “New Albany” Exit)

3) Take SR 161 East to the first exit (Sunbury Rd.)

4) Turn Right (north) onto Sunbury Rd.

5) Regatta site will be on your right at Walnut St. (about 2 miles)

 

From Dayton

1) Take I-70 East to 670 EAST

2) Take I-270 North to Exit 30 (SR 161 East, “New Albany” Exit)

3) Take SR 161 East (Exit 30, “New Albany”)

4) Take first exit (Sunbury Rd.)

5) Turn Right (north) onto Sunbury Rd.

6) Regatta site will be on your right at Walnut St. (about 2 miles)

 

From Parkersburg

1) Take I-70 West to I-270 North (on the east side of Columbus)

2) Go about 8 miles on I-270 North - The freeway will split as you near the Easton Exit. Bear right, following the signs for SR 161 East “New Albany” Exit 30)

3) Take SR161 East to the first exit (Sunbury Road)

4) Turn Right (north) onto Sunbury Rd.

5) The regatta site will be on your right at Walnut St. (about 2 miles)
