The North Carolina Rowing Championships will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023. This will be the 6th annual state championship regatta in North Carolina. The event was formed in 2017 following discussions among the head coaches of North Carolina's premier youth rowing clubs: Asheville Youth Rowing, Belmont Rowing Club, Charlotte Youth Rowing, Triad United Rowing Association, and Triangle Rowing Club. It was quickly expanded to include masters and collegiate events.
High Point's Festival Park at Oak Hollow Lake was unanimously selected by coaches as the venue for its central location and local organizing committee's proven success at hosting regional rowing events.
