South Niagara Invitational

  • Hosted By: South Niagara Rowing Club
  • Sanctioned by RCA and Row Ontario (2022)

Please refer to the following map for Driving Directions showing how to access to SNRC Boathouse area due to the Forks Rd bridge demolition.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to view the races from the Finish Tower area on the west side of the race course. Paid VIP parking is available at the Finish Tower area and free parking is provided at the Colborne St parking lot which is a 5 minute walk north of the Finish Tower area.

Parking is prohibited along Forks Rd west of the waterway. Drivers who do so will be ticketed and towed.

Spectators planning to view the races from the east side of the course should be aware that only limited street parking is available in this area as there is still an excessive amount of standing water in the grassed area along the Kingsway and parking will not be allowed on the grass next to the course. All spectators must also abide by the City no parking signs and Kingsway road closure.

For anyone needing to park close to the boathouse area there is free parking just off of Canal Bank St in the grassed area all along the east side of the waterway, just south of the Athlete Drop off area. Parking on Canal Bank St is strictly prohibited and cars will be ticketed and towed.

Watching Races

  • Following races by motorized vehicles along the Kingsway (on the east side of the race course) is strictly prohibited and may result in the disqualification of the crew being followed.
  • We encourage you to bring a bike and use the Welland Canal Trail that follows the course on the west side.

Welland Canal Trail

The Welland Canal trail begins in Port Colborne and runs along the west bank of the rowing course. You may bring bicycles or roller blades to use on the trail.
