Hi Everyone,
Our safety committee has met this morning. We have consulted with the USRowing safety committee. We have talked with our chief referee.
We feel that we must exercise an abundance of caution and cancel this years HOTS regatta. The likelihood of heavy debris in the river on Saturday makes the situation 50/50 at best. Combine that math with the safety of everyone traveling to the regatta makes it a fairly simple, even though dissapointing decision.
We will inform regatta central to please refund everyone's entry fees this year. We hope that you will still keep our regatta in your plans for next year.
Again, we apologize to everyone for the decision, but this years regatta has been canceled.
