FAQ's

• May I change my Damper? 
  • Yes. Each competitor may change the damper to their desired setting.  
• Can I compete if I am new to rowing or don't have much experience?  
  • Yes. We invite anyone interested to come and participate, regardless of experience/skill level.  
• Do I need to use my real name when competing? 
  • Yes. All participants must compete under their own names.
• Will there be warm-up machines if I attend in person?
  • Yes. Warm-up ergs will be available for use by all competitors adjacent to the competition portion of the race floor. Cleaning products will also be available for participants to use. 
• When can I get onto my race erg?
  • Competitors will be called to the race ergs once they are cleaned from the race directly before the event/heat they are in.  
• Can spectators come? 
  • Spectators are more than welcome to attend in person or view or live stream. There is no cost for a spectator to attend. If you want to share your race with family and friends, links to a spectator view will be able to be found on our regatta central page the day prior to racing.
• Where do I park?
  • We have instructions on parking at Wichita State on the "Directions & Parking" tab. We also plan to put out some yard signs leading you from the parking lot to the Heskett Center. 
• I am having issues connecting my erg. What do I do?
  • Contact us through our zoom link found on the Rules & Eligibility tab.
