To row in this event you must be a member school in good standing with the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association. To be a member you must be a single high school crew, no club or composite crews, within the six state New England region. You must also be an organizational member of USRowing.
To qualify for this event you must have at least three regular season races against three different NEIRA member schools. In addition, you must then be seeded in the top 18 for first boats and the top 12 for second through fourth boats.
This race is for Varsity and Junior Varsity only. There are races for currently enrolled high school boys and girls in eights, fours and singles.
