Will there be a coaches and coxswains meeting?
Yes! The meeting will be virtual Athletes and Coaches Pre-Regatta Meeting on Tuesday, January 28, at 7 P.M. CST.
How does registration work for the relay events? Is a coxswain required for the relay event?
No; we do not require an official coxswain for the 8x 2k relay (8 people, one erg, 2000m as fast as possible). You may of course have someone (or multiple people) cox the athletes through the relay, but it is not required to have a designed coxswain. When registering for the relay, please put any athlete's name in the required field for coxswain. Regatta central requires a ninth person listed, as the way the event is set up is for an 8+
For the middle school, 5 person, 10 minute relay, as many meters as possible in 10 minutes, please put all five rowers names when registering. One will be listed as the coxswain, but all five rowers will be expected to contribute to the total meters for the event.
Will food be provided?
Yes, food will be available for sale at the event. DETAILS TBD.
Please bring whatever you need for race day fuel! In addition to event vendors, there are restaurants nearby on Ashland Ave, which you can walk or drive to during or after the event.
Is there event merchandise for sale?
Yes! Strokeside Designs will be the exclusive provider of merchandise for the SSSDTIRO2025. The online store is open here, with items shipping on demand within 3-5 days: https://shop.usrowing.org/pages/2025-indoor-rowing-championships.
Will free Tiro Cup shirts be provided to novices this year?
No, not at this time. If CTC secures a sponsor for novice shirts we will provide them free of charge. Due to the arrangement with Strokeside Designs, CTC does not plan to provide free Tiro Cup shirts for novices at the event this year.
