Dear Participating Teams and Visitors:

We believe we'll have two potential choke points this year:

1) Parking.  Only trailers and vehicles carrying small boats will be allowed to park within Harry Todd Park. All other vehicles must park in the surrounding neighborhoods in Tillicum. Our advice is to forget to try to get close to the park; rather find parking in one of the nearby streets, such as Portland, Grant, or Washington Avenues, or the cross streets between, and then walk to the park from there. There is also parking at Tillicum Elementary School and the Community Service Center next to the school on Washington Ave. If you have heavy items to drop off, you will need to get entry permission from one of our parking attendants. You can not enter the park to drop off athletes (if they can row 5K at 100% pressure, they can walk the few hundred yards from the car to the park...)  This goes without saying: Do not block anybody's driveways. 

2) Getting on and off the docks.  We have 25% more entries than last year and only 2 1/2 docks (5 sides). We can only handle one-way traffic on the docks, so that the boats having rowed in the first flight must all be off the water before we will allow boats rowing in the second flight to proceed down the hill and approach the docks. One-way traffic only. Getting into the boats and pushing off should only take seconds, and any adjustments and tie-ins must happen on the water. We will allow the first flight to enter the docks at 8:15, the second flight at 10:15 (if everybody from the 1st flight are off), and the third flight at 12:45. Please check your heat sheet for the scheduled race time. There should not be any reasons to launch earlier than 45 minutes prior to your race.
