Welcome to the 27th Annual Head of the South Rowing Regatta!
On behalf of the Augusta Rowing Club, the City of Augusta/Richmond County, and all of our sponsors and vendors, we wish to welcome the more than 2500 out-of-town rowers, coaches, and visitors to our 2025 Head of the South (HOTS) Regatta. We also extend a cordial invitation to all area residents to come and watch the competition on the Savannah River and to join in the festivities.
The race course on the Savannah River allows the best possible viewing by spectators. It will start at the Hammonds Ferry development in North Augusta, go past the River Walk Amphitheater, under the 5th Street Walking bridge, and finish near the Augusta Boathouse venue. There will be plenty of prime regatta viewing areas at each of these locations. At the Augusta Boathouse venue, you also will be able to mingle with the competitors and learn all about the great sport of rowing. There will be food and drinks and associated vendors available at the Boathouse venue from 7:30 AM till 4:30 PM.
Our Head of the South Regatta is one of the top 5 largest regattas in the nation. However, it could not take place without our many volunteers and the support of the local area sponsors. Whenever possible, please support our business partners and vendors and take a moment to thank our hardworking volunteers for their time and efforts in making this regatta a success.
