Schedule. The schedule for racing is posted at www.rowtown.org via the link HERE. Results will be posted to this same site. First race is at 9 am, last race is at 4:49 pm with a break mid-day (Last morning race 12:10; First afternoon race 1:10 pm).

Volunteers. Have friends/ family members/ children attending? Make the day pass more quickly for them by encouraging them to join our crew of volunteers and stakeboat holders HERE. They'll have their pick of some Schuylkill Navy available swag.
Kelly Drive to Close on Saturday at approximately 6:30 am: Kelly Drive will be closed for the regatta but not until approximately 6:30 am. Do NOT arrive before this time on Saturday :-) An Entry Pass is attached. Please print or have ready to show on your phone at Entry Gate if arriving on Saturday.
Thanks in advance for planning your travel schedule accordingly:
- Spaces for trailers and car-topped boats will - as always - be reserved in the Gillin Parking Lot and in front of Temple Rowing's East Park Canoe House.
- Spots on Kelly Drive that are closest to the Regatta HQ Tent and in the Grandstand Lot are reserved for referees and regatta volunteers through to 9:30 am.
- Please note that all visiting competitors will need to park at or further downriver from the 750m-to-go area.
This email includes an attached "Navigation Aid" to assist you with both Boat Trailer and Athlete Arrival.
As a reminder for when parking in public spaces: (a) Lock all doors; (b) Do not leave valuables; and, (c) Do NOT park on ballfields or grass anywhere (as you will be ticketed).
Getting to the Venue: On Kelly Drive, you MUST approach the Race Course travelling in the direction TOWARDS Center City Philadelphia (towards the Phila Art Museum) on Kelly Drive. Per the attached Navigation Guide, you can and should use the "Furness Gateway" in "Google Maps" as a Navigation Guide. This will bring you directly to the Strawberry Mansion and typical "detour" spot. IMPORTANT: Even 1000-1500 m ahead of this (around Laurel Hill Cemetery and the intersection of Kelly Drive and W. Hunting Park Avenue), place your Hazard Lights on and proceed slowly in the farthest right hand lane. This will slow all traffic behind you and encourage vehicular traffic to pass you on the left. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL ARRIVING BELOW STRAWBERRY MANSION BRIDGE TO TURN ON HAZARDS.
- The NO KINGS PROTEST is scheduled to begin and end within the time frame of the regatta itself, with crowds disbursing before the end of the regatta. Roads are scheduled to reopen at 5 pm. You can ready about the planned closures HERE.
Scratches or Line-Up Changes: Please note that any final entries must be placed by midnight tonight (6/12/25). Additional scratches or line-up changes from here on out will need to be made manually (Please email us directly here and/ or share at Regatta HQ).
Trailer / Car-Top Arrivals for Visiting Crews: A separate Trailer Bulletin was sent earlier asking all crews to complete the form HERE. If you did not receive it and your boats are arriving via trailer/car-top (ie, you're a visiting crew), please email us at this same address so we can forward it to you. THIS TRAILER BULLETIN INCLUDED ESSENTIAL INFO, SO PLEASE BE SURE TO COMPREHENSIVELY REVIEW. In advance of this:
- Know that trailers should arrive within the following windows because (a) you must not arrive in the dark ; and, (b) we must have our team on-site when you arrive (and obviously can't stay all night !
- Fri, Jun 13: 3:00 pm -7:00 pm (The gates to the Trailer Lot will be locked after this time).
- Sat, Jun 14: 6:30-9:00 am
Regatta HQ and Chief Referee: The Regatta HQ Tent will be set up directly downriver from the Gillin Boat Club (St. Joe's University/Prep's Boat house). USRowing Referee Meagan Hudson is serving as Chief Referee.
Coaches and Coxswains Meeting: There will be a brief Coaches and Coxswains Meeting at 7:30 am. Regatta HQ will be open from 7:30 am on for Questions and Last-Minute Scratches, etc.
Weigh-Ins: As has been done in the past for the Schuylkill Navy Regatta, the honor system is in effect for Lightweight Events (Please note that our later Independence Day Regatta on July 4-6 DOES and WILL require weigh-ins). As reminder, weight maximums are 130 lbs for women and 160 lbs for men.
Course: All Master Events are floating starts from the 1k location. All other events will start at the 2k location from stakeboats (pending any weather challenges). Lanes will NOT be separated by buoy lines; however, proper lane usage is expected. Specifically, crews must pass under their proper lane marking at Strawberry Mansion Bridge; and, a crew passing under its incorrect arch may be excluded if deemed to have taken an unfair advantage.
Traffic Pattern: The typical Schuylkill Navy Race Day Traffic Pattern will be in effect.
For Visiting Crews:
- All Launching is from the East Park Canoe House (Temple Rowing's upriver) Dock; Recovery will happen from the same location.
- When launching, crews should proceed upriver towards start along east bank (Lane 0) until under Strawberry Mansion Bridge.
- At Bridge, crews should pause, turn perpendicular to course, and cross directly across all lanes (travelling towards western side) , before turning again to proceed upriver to Start along the West Side.
- After racing, crews should turn west to proceed/ return upriver behind Peters Island. At upriver end, crews should pause to wait for passing crews. Then, proceed perpendicularly across the river between races towards the eastern sea wall. Once at walls, crews should turn again to proceed safely (via Lane 0) to City Dock for Recovery.
For Boathouse Row Crews:
- Follow normal traffic pattern of moving upriver along western bank. After racing, proceed directly back to Boathouse Row along eastern bank.
Timing and Results: Race Day Timing will time the events , with results posted to rowtown.org. Please make sure your bow carries a proper bow marker for your lane assignment.
Medals: Medals for First place finishers in each Finals Flight will be given at the Grandstand Awards Dock immediately following each Finals Flight.
Weather: Current forecast is Overcast with Chance of Showers with Temps feeling between 62-70F.
Communications: All Weather Alerts will happen via X /Twitter ( @boathouserow) and Regatta Bulletins from Regatta Central.
On-site Resources:
- Given the limited size, there will be no on-site vending of food nor beverage. Please pack what you need for the day.
- Porta-Potties WILL be available in the Grandstand Lot and Gillin/Strawberry Lots.
- EMS Ambulance will be located next to the Gillin (St. Joe's) Boat House (close to Regatta HQ and adjacent to trailers).
- Bow Markers (Lanes 1-6) are the responsibility of each crew and will not be distributed. You can buy a set for $25 via VENMO at Regatta HQ if needed.
Best of luck racing ! We can't wait to see you,
Murph, Jeff, and Bonnie
