College students return home for the summer to row!

High School Student Membership

High school students can drop-in for summer open rowing. While there will not be on-the-water coaching during these sessions, the youth member must be accompanied by an adult member overseeing these sessions. All members under 18 must have a signed parental waiver that states the minor is able to swim 50 yards (two lengths of a pool) and be able to tread water for 5 minutes.

Adult Membership - Half Year

1.5 Hour Private Lessons

Cost of class includes an equipment fee and temporary membership in US Rowing's to learn to row program.

Level I Adult session 3

This 4-week class (two 1.5 hr periods/week) will introduce you to the fundamentals of the rowing stroke. Time will be spent both on and off the water, training with our experienced coaching staff. Participants will learn how to safely launch and maneuver rowing shells on the water and will be prepared to enter a Level 2 class and participate in some community group rows upon completion. Fee includes limited membership to USRowing and insurance for the duration of the course. For participants 18-years and older. Participants must be able to tread water for 15 minutes and swim 2 lengths of a pool.

Level II Adult Session 3

In this 4-week, on-the-water. session you'll build beyond your basic skills. Two great coaches will perform drills that will improve the finer points of your stroke, often starting with an ergometer, but most of the time you'll continue to develop boat handling skills and learn to use the body efficiently on the water. While focusing on the individual's stroke, you'll learn to row effectively in a team boat. With coach's approval and the completion of this class, you will cleared to take out a club boat during member open rowing sessions. For participants 18-years and older. Participants must be able to tread water for 15 minutes and swim 2 lengths of a pool. Space is limited to eight participants.
