November 14th Update:  

We are cancelling our regatta.

The current Covid situation has exceeded our comfort level for the ability to ensure safety for all participants, guests and the local community.  We greatly appreciate the assistance and interest to date--and look forward to hosting many of you soon on Lake Lure.

Lake Lure Racing / Rowing / Retreats

Lake Lure Racing & Rowing Retreats will host it's inauguaral "Ho-Ho-Ho-Row".  

Come enjoy a head race on what some have called the most beautiful lake in the U.S.A.!  We will race 5700 meters on both Saturday and Sunday over two different courses on Lake Lure.  The are homes along most of the course on both days--so racers can expect some cheering on as they make their way down the course.  

Sunday entries are half price!  We hope everyone will race both courses--having recently done so at Secret City I can vouch for the added enjoyment of two courses at one venue!

Do not fear December weather!  Lake Lure sits in a thermal belt keeping temperatures warmer than surrounding areas.  Average high temperature for this weekend is 51 degrees (F) and expect mid-thirties over night.  Wonderful weather for a head race!

Regatta timing coordinates with the local "Light up Lake Lure" holiday celebration--so bring friends & family and enjoy.  There are beautiful hikes and activites all around town to enjoy after the races. Suggested accommodations will be added to the Venue tab asap.

Nov 5th Update:  After discussions with other teams--we are working to allow as much flexibility as possible for all.  I will get the events re-posted ASAP, adding time between the 8's/4's and 2's/1's so some can race both big and small boats.  We are trying to leave some flexibility to set up the races based on entries.  

**This is a not a US Rowing sanctioned event--but it is a great opportunity to test your conditioning against other rowers.  Races will be organized by boat type and category. (large boats to smaller boats, U15/U17/U19/HS/College/Masters/Open).
