The 2007 Head of the Des Moines Regatta is coming up on Saturday, September 29! Mark your Calendars!
We're hard at work getting things finalized, but here are some tasty treats of info to whet your appetite in the meantime:

DIRECTIONS TO THE HEAD OF THE DES MOINES REGATTA SITE
Two routes to the site are described here. Take I-235 to:
Penn Avenue Exit, go north/right to Euclid, go west/left to Martin Luther King (MLK) Blvd. go south/left to Prospect Road (just south of the school bus barn/old armory building) turn east/left to Prospect Park.
Martin Luther King (MLK) Blvd. Exit, go north/right to Hickman Road, go east/right to Prospect Road (at the bottom of the hill), turn north/left to Prospect Park.
Please note that there is ongoing road construction on I-235 which may affect the route taken to the regatta site. For updates on construction, visit this web site: www.I235.com .
LOW BRIDGE: If you are taking I-80, please note that the trainbridge that crosses over 2nd Avenue just south of I-80 is low andcompetitors in the past have had to let air out of tires to safely take boatsunder the bridge. AVOID THIS ROUTE.
