The Indianapolis Rowing Center (IRC), the only community rowing center in the city, is located inside beautiful Eagle Creek Park. We row on Eagle Creek Reservoir, which is an ideal rowing venue.

The 2,000-meter course on Eagle Creek Reservoir was the site of the 1987 Rowing events at the Pan-Am Games, the 1994 World Rowing Championships, the 2002 and 2003 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships, and has hosted a USRowing National Championship Regatta 16 times since 1987. The Indianapolis Rowing Center also hosts high-school and collegiate regattas in the spring, such as the Indianapolis High School Invitational and the Big Ten Women’s Rowing Championships, both in May. In the Fall, we host our premier head race, the Head of the Eagle, each October.

IRC Boathouse: Located within Eagle Creek Park at 7350 Eagle Beach Drive (no mail delivery). Phone: 317-298-9456.  The regatta site is located at the very end of Eagle Beach Drive (don't turn down IRC's gravel driveway)

Additional Race Course viewing - Racing can also be viewed from the Marina (about 1000 meter mark).  Instead of turning down Eagle Beach Drive, continue on the main park road, and follow signs for the Marina.  It will be a left hand turn off the main road.
