About Lake Bled
Lake Bled is 2,200 meters long. Two years ago Bled celebrated 100 years since its first regatta took place on Lake Bled. The first major event organised in Bled was 1930 Yugoslavia National Championships.
Bled hosted World Rowing Championships (FISA) in 1966, 1979, 1989 and 2011. Bled also hosted the World Rowing Cup in 2010 and 2015, the European Rowing Junior Championships in 2012, two World Rowing Masters Regattas in 1986 and 1995 as well World Rowing Junior Championships in 1971 and European Rowing Championships in 1956.
