  • Males - 75kgs maximum
  • Females - 61.5kgs maximum 

There are no lightweight categories for Under 17 age groups. 

On the day of their race, Lightweight competitors will be asked to weigh-in and provide verification with a photograph to CIRC officials at [email protected].  The photo should include scale, date, and competitor wearing their racing kit.  Lightweights racing both days will need to weigh in at the start of the day both days.  

The weigh-in timing window is from 7:00 AM EST (Canada time zone, not yours) to 1 hour before your race. 

Each competitor competes entirely at their own risk and confirms that they are in good health and have no medical or health condition that could endanger or limit their ability whilst participating in the event.

Nationality

Competitors from anywhere in the world are welcome to compete at CIRC. Competitors will be asked to indicate their nationality at the time of registration.  Competitors who qualify for WRICH by finishing in the top qualifying ranking at CIRC must submit a copy of their passport (photo page) or identity card (with photo) to prove they are a citizen of a country in the Americas.  For the purposes of the World Rowing Continental Qualifying Pathway, only those with valid proof of citizenship from the Americas will be eligible to win a spot in the WRICH Finals. 

Age Categories

  • Minimum age is 13 as of February 6, 2021  
  • Under 17 -  Must be age 17 on or before February 6, 2021
  • All other categories - Must be age as of February 23,  2021 (start of WRICH).

Competitors can compete in more than one race for which they are eligible.
