Spectators - Finish line is at the grandstands.  The trail to the granstands starts at Lot C.

Race day traffic pattern.

To facilitate hot docking at the grandstands, the race day traffic pattern is the opposite of the regular Sandy Run practice pattern.  After launching, immediately turn to proceed up the Fairfax (near side) shore.  Return is along the Prince William (far side) shoree.

Enter course from the Prince William side, highest lane # first.  Lane 6 is Fairfax side.

Hot Docks at the Finish Line

The first white dock by the Finish Line Tower is a coaches launch dock and not recommended for racing shells.  It has tie off cleats and is fairly high.  There are two lower white docks that are better for hot docking. As shown in the The first is right past the Finish Line Tower.  The second is past the Grandstands and the small beach area.  See satellite view below.
