Coxswains who wish to become rowers may race as a novice rower for one year, regardless of their coxing experience. However, rowers that become coxswains may not race as a Novice if they competed in rowing before 6/1/12.

Lightweight Events: US Rowing rules will be followed. US Rowing weights will be used.

Master's Category's: Age Handicap from US Rowing will be used. Minimum age for Masters Participants is they must turn 21 years of age in the year 2013.

Race Distances: All Junior and Open/Collegiate races will be 2000M. All Masters and Mixed races will be 1000M.

Finals Only:  All races will be finals only, so it is important that coaches give their best boats 'A' ranking, their next best boat "B' ranking, etc. That is how the finals will be arranged.

Entry Fee Structure: 1x's: $25.00, 2x’s: $35.00, 4x/4+: $55.00, 8's: $85.00 Entries at the regular fee close on Thursday, February 28, 2013. Late entries are available until Tuesday, March 5 at double the normal entry fee (i.e., $50 for a 1x, $70 for a 2x/2-, etc.), and only if an open lane is available.

There will be NO WALK UP ENTRIES ACCEPTED at the Regatta.

There is an entry fee cap of $1000.00 for all club/school participants. In order to be eligible for the cap all boats must be entered under the same team/club name. Late entry fees do not contribute toward the cap.

Boat rental is the same price as the entry fee and would include practice time in the shell.

Scratch deadline:  Thursday, February 28. After that no credit or refunds will be given for scratched entries.

Entry Numbers: Please understand events with only one entry will not be run. Events that have only one club entered with multiple entries will be run, but points will not be awarded.

Junior Points and Awards:   Only Arizona teams will be recognized as Arizona State Champions in the Men's and Women's Varsity 8 Event. They will be awarded perpetual State Championship trophies, for the Men's and Women's Varsity 8+.  The award ceremony will be conducted near Regatta Central approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of racing.  Men's and Women's team points will be calculated based on the table below, which is similar to the guidelines used by US Rowing.  Organizations with multiple entries will only receive points for the highest placed entry.  All boats entered in an event, regardless of what program they are from, will be counted as boats entered in the event when calculating points.  There will need to be at least two entries from different programs, in order for points to be awarded. There will be no points awarded for Mixed Events, for Open Events or for Masters Events.
