Coach and Cox Meeting

Will be done virtually and sent prior to the race.

BOW NUMBERS

We will supply alpha numeric numbers.

VOLUNTEERS

We need help from all the FSRA West teams to provide volunteers to pull this off! Thank you in advance. Please remember there is a coach link to get a coach volunteer to sign up for a duty - these should not be shared with the full parent group as they require coach experience.

DOCKS

Anyone we have working the docks are volunteers so please make sure you have coaches around to help if you feel like your athletes need help on or off the water or are worried about your equipment.

SAFETY

Teams and coaches need to take responsibility for checking heel ties and bowballs and the overall safety of their equipment and crews they are launching.

STAKEBOAT SKILLS - backing, tapping, sculling it over

TRAILER PARKING

Parking - We have use of parking at both the Harney Park site and the Southwest FL Water Management District (SWFMD) parking lot next door. We will not use parking passes but please consider a $5 donation to the Boys Scouts that will be volunteering to help park cars. Please go to the Harney Park site first and then we can use the SWFMD lot. You can drop off at Harney Park if there are no more parking spots available there before going to SWFMD (which is not a long walk).

Harney Park Address: 7115 US-301 N, Tampa, FL 33610

SWFMD Parking Lot: 7601 US-301 N, Tampa, FL 33637

We plan to have the park opened up by 5:30 am but 5:00 for trailers. Trailers need to be in by 6:30 am on Saturday. If you are bringing it Friday, they can start arriving by 2:00 pm. I do not know if we will be able to have access after 5:00 pm so please ask if you hope to arrive after 5:00!

The Tampa Bypass permit does not allow us to practice on the course on Friday. Trailers can arrive and boats can be put into slings and rigged but no boats will go on the water on Friday. Food trailers can also arrive but tables, tents, tarps, etc are not allowed to be set up on Friday. Thank you for your cooperation.

VENDORS

There will be a t-shirt vendor and a food vendor that will have coffee in the morning and food the entire day for anyone interested.

LIGHTWEIGHT WEIGH IN

Will be at check in tent from 6:00-8:00 am. You are responsible for getting your athletes there and weighed in before they launch! They will be given a bracelet once they have weighed in. Any lightweight boat that does not make weight can race still be will be listed as exhibition and will not be eligible for medals. FSRA team Lightweights must be pre-cleared on the FSRA list of athletes:

MEDALS

Awarded to the top 3 FSRA teams. We welcome out of state teams but unfortunately for you we need to award the top 3 FSRA teams with medals.

Waivers - Most of you have already signed both of these but please check for new athletes or those of you who aren't a FSRA team may need to do it:
