Welcome to the 137th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta. On behalf of the Henley Commission, I am excited to host another year of world class racing on picturesque Martindale Pond.
Each year participants travel from all corners of the globe to participate in this regatta. To ensure we provide the best experience for all participants, we continue to strive for excellence. Changes are therefore necessary and essential to our ongoing success.
A significant change is that, based on lessons learned from last year, a decision was made to revert back to the Regatta Central legacy registration system for this year. The registration principles for our regatta will remain unchanged, however (e.g., cart system payment, no refunds on entries, waitlist registration features and reporting). The Rowing Canada Aviron and ROWONTARIO seat fees introduced last year also still apply. 

This year we are making some major changes to the RegattaSport Dash for Cash, and in particular we have decided to shuffle the order of the 500m Dashes held at the end of day Saturday, August 10th (heats Saturday morning). Mr. Tom Blacquiere, who has served as the Deputy Chief Umpire for the last four year, will be this year’s Chief Umpire. Tom has been a national umpire since 1994, a Chief Umpire since 2003, and a FISA umpire since 2010. He is the past chair of the RCA Umpires Committee, and  is extremely involved in rowing through his involvement with CSSRA, ROWONTARIO, and Rowing Canada Aviron. Tom says of his appointment, "I am very excited to be taking on this role at such a prestigious regatta. I am also looking forward to working with the Commission members and Regatta Chair, Peter Scott, in continuing to make this regatta the best in the world."  Welcome Tom!
