Base Membership/Club Masters

Standard base membership that is required for all masters rowers. Includes access to personal boats and equipment (with additional storage fee) and Bergen County Rowing Center's indoor facilities, as well as supervised access to club boats during Club Masters sessions. Does NOT allow access to club boats outside of Club Masters sessions

This is the required membership tier for all Master's rowers at our club. It’s also a great fit for those who are newer or returning to the sport and looking for a supportive, community-based rowing experience to build skill and confidence. Boathouse Access – Enjoy access during all regular hours of operation. Voting Rights – Participate fully in the governance and direction of the club. Club Masters Sessions – Row under coach supervision three times per week from April 12 to October 31: • Mondays: 5:30 – 7:00 PM • Thursdays: 7:00 – 8:30 AM • Saturdays: 8:00 – 9:30 AM Private Boat Use – Store and row your personal shell, if storage has been arranged. Note: This membership does not include access to club-owned boats outside of Club Masters sessions. Who is this for? Ideal for rowers with approximately 8–10 hours of prior rowing experience. For those with less, we recommend starting with our Learn to Row programs to build the necessary foundational skills.

Coxswain Registration

Full time coxswains can register with this option. Full time coxswain registration comes at no cost.

Guest Pass

Must be sponsored by the club or a club member. Please email [email protected] to coordinate. Allows for three uses. The first must be during a coached practice or other PRRA scheduled rowing event to evaluate the rower's capability, the remaining sessions must be used within two weeks of the first.

The social membership is for person interested in supporting PRRA.

Competitive Masters Add-on 3-SEASON Package

Add-on to base membership for those who plan to compete in regattas. Allows access to strategic training through coached practice sessions, along with independent access to club boats. Requires intermediate skills as assessed by the head coach.

This is a supplemental membership tier in addition to the base membership. Intended for skilled rowers who want rigorous coaching in preparation for local, regional, and national regattas. This membership tier also allows for independent access to club boats for self-organized rows. Expanded Coaching - Competitive coached sessions are offered from March to October: Tuesday 5:30-7:00AM Wednesday 6:30 - 8:00AM Thursday 5:30-7:00AM Friday 6:30-8:00AM Saturday 6:00-7:45AM Expanded Boat Access - Membership allows independent access to club-owned boats during regular boathouse hours, weather permitting. Skill Requirements - Coaches must authorize a rower for the competitive membership. The same skills as expected in the recreational membership are expected here, with a focus on technical training. Safety - Rowers are responsible for taking proper precautions for independent rowing including evaluating the weather and conditions, notifying someone in the boathouse of their plans, and bringing a phone in a waterproof pouch in case of emergency. Note - This is an add-on tier; all competitive masters must also hold an active Base Membership.

Recreational Masters Add-on 3-SEASON Package

Add-on to base membership that allows for independent use of club boats and equipment, and the opportunity to compete in regattas under PRRA colors. Requires an assessment of basic skills and a coach's approval.

This is a supplemental membership tier in addition to the base membership. Intended for skilled rowers who want independent access to club boats for self-organized rows. Expanded Boat Access - The recreational membership allows independent access to club-owned boats during regular boathouse hours, weather permitting. Rowers may organize independently or through the recreational member GroupMe chat. Recreational members may also attend club master’s coached sessions, which are offered 3 times per week. Skill Requirements - Coaches must authorize a rower for the recreational membership. Rowers must demonstrate skills such as bowing, docking, and rowing a single shell to demonstrate sufficient skill for safe and independent rowing. Safety - Rowers are responsible for taking proper precautions including evaluating the weather and conditions, notifying someone in the boathouse of their plans, and bringing a phone in a waterproof pouch in case of emergency. Note - This is an add-on tier; all recreational masters must also hold an active Base Membership.

Club Rowing - Collegiate Summer

This program is geared towards athletes looking to row three times per week and have access to the boathouse for lifting and erging. Athletes are only permitted to row during the scheduled coaches sessions. Dates: 6/1 - 8/31 Sessions: Mondays 5:30 - 7 pm Thursdays 7:00 - 8:30 am Saturdays 8:00 - 9:30 am

It includes everything included in Club Rowing - Collegiate Summer, in addition to being able to row at any time during club operating hours. Youth Learn to Row Camp

This program runs weekly, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This is a one week program priced at $200. The athlete will be integrated with our novice for the duration of the program and guided by our coaching staff. After the one week camp, if the athlete chooses to continue with the full program, the $200 will be applied towards that balance.
